The Nikes

From the ancient winged goddess of victory

Famous cars have been commemorated in these designed pieces.  Tj extracts the most recognizable design elements and recombines them into a single winged form like the remnants of ancient statues.  The series exists in full size  monumentals, in pedestal size bronze and cement castings and in maquette form, which have been cast in pewter. Again these forms are often combined into new pieces like the BugSwarm installation and the "57 Descending" after Marcel DuChamps. Find out Why they're called Nikes and more about sculpture.
